Robinhood Wallet rolls out on iOS with Android support to follow

The full launch and removal of the 1 million waitlisted users come six months after Robinhood launched its beta version in September.

Trading platform Robinhood has launched Web3 Wallet in the Apple Store, which is available to iOS users in more than 130 countries and regions.

Robin Hood shared the news in a March 1 post, pointing out that users will no longer have to sit on the waiting list to browse a new multi-chain self-service wallet. Robin Hood added that the wallet will be available on Android later this year.

Since the public trial version of Robinhood Wallet was released in September, the trading platform has integrated Etherum, enhanced 50 ERC tokens, and can be bought, sold and owned on self-service escrow wallets in addition to Polygon already available.

Tokens encouraged today include the American Citizenship Freedom Union (USDC), Chinese universities (UNI), Ma Jiqi (Ma Jiqi) and Shib (Shib).

The tokens can be bought and sold without paying transaction fees, and users can use the digital currency to interact with a range of decentralized applications (Dapp).

Robert Coblat, manager of Robinhood Crypto, said that strong support for ERC-20 tokens in Ether and County should be a response from users who want to get more coins and tokens on a large number of chains.

Since the launch of the public beta version, Robinhood Wallet has also added irreplaceable tokens to enable users to collect and store their favorite collections on the Polygon of Taihe County.

A spokesman for Robin Hood told Cointelegraph that Robin Hood's NFTs would not be affected by Apple's 30 per cent app commission and the selection of data goods or services within its apps.

Although Robinhood Wallet is self-hosted, it can perform a series of self-verification methods to provide security to its Web3 users:

When a user is widely used, he needs to set Face/Touch ID or custom PIN, which he will use to authenticate before each time APP is opened. He is also required to create a secret repair statement, also known as a seed statement, that allows them to browse his wallet account and password.

Robin Hood shows that users can-and should-back up data wallets based on writing out, storing them offline, or storing their wallets in a secure way.

However, not everyone allows the security policy set by Robin Hood Wallet.

A Reddit poster named StamInBlack was not satisfied with the selection of seed statements saved in iCloud, while others in the same post expressed irrelevant audit comments on the trading platform.

However, Coblatt said that so far, people's feedback on Robin Hood wallet has been "very proactive."

A few days ago, Robinhood Markets revealed in a 10Muk document that he had received a subpoena from the Foreign Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) last December to investigate the sale of digital currency, escrow and the operation of e-commerce platforms.
